I love a list – Make a list of all the things in your life that bring you joy!
Why?
I genuinely think that this helps with staying calm and relaxed in times of anxiousness. Having this list to look over when you feel anxious can help you find your joy again.
1) It can work as a reminder of all the things that you love and love doing. Perfect for those days that you don’t feel so good.
2) Creating the list can help you recognise and show gratitude for the happy things in your life.
3) It can prompt you into action when you are stuck in a rut.
Why not get started now? I would recommend making your list as long as possible - at least 20 things. The process alone is a form of self-therapy.
Make a promise to yourself to read it often. You could write it up and display it or take a picture of it and save it on your phone in a special folder you look at often.
I like to have mine in a small notebook that’s either on my desk or by my bed.
